Rachel Berry, MSW
Chief Executive Officer
In her more than 10 years at Brandon, Rachel’s education in human and child development, family studies, and social work have provided her with a wide array of skills… for which she constantly relies on in her work. She has worked in residential settings for more than 12 years and thoroughly enjoys the complex challenges of working with this population. Rachel received a BS from the University of Rhode Island and earned her MSW from Boston College. As Case Management Coordinator, she directs the work of 8 dynamic and highly skilled case managers, overseeing the complexities of both the internal and external needs of the adolescents we serve. Rachel was an active participant in the Provider Leadership Program which gave her the opportunity to work collaboratively with other management staff from residential programs within the Commonwealth.

Patricia O. Kelley, MEd
Chief Quality Assurance Officer
Trish Kelley received her BS in Education at Eastern Nazarene College and began her career at Brandon in 1978. Trish has supported and nurtured the program through its development from a day school with a 10 bed dormitory into a comprehensive community based residential treatment center in her initial role as a Teacher, then as the Principal, Director of Programs, then as the Director of Administration, and is presently the Chief Quality Assurance Officer. In 2005 she received her Certificate in Human Service Management from Suffolk University & MCHSP and is keeping abreast of current educational trends via graduate coursework. Trish acknowledges that we are only a steppingstone in the lives and education of our clients and is always proud when our Alumni stop by to give her a copy of their High School or College diplomas.

Karen McCarthy, MEd
Chief Academic Officer
Karen McCarthy is the Chief Academic Officer at Brandon’s Chapter 766 school holding licensure as a Special Education Administrator in the state of MA . During her over 20 years at Brandon, she has grown in her expertise and experience and successfully fulfilled the roles of CYCW/Behavioral Specialist, Teacher’s Assistant, Teacher, Head Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. Karen has a BA in Psychology (St. Anselm College), a Master of Education in Special Education (UMASS-Boston), and has earned advanced graduate credits in Education Leadership at Framingham State College. She is a certified Wilson Reading Program instructor and an active member of the MAAPS Board of Directors. In addition, Karen co-chairs the MAAPS Evidenced-based Practice Committee. Karen is committed to the continued professional development of the school staff and dedicated to providing quality educational programming for the students at Brandon.

Robert Kulchuk
Chief Financial Officer
Bob Kulchuk received his BS in Accountancy with a minor in International Business from Bentley University. Bob joined the Brandon team in 2014 bringing with him 20+ years of experience, including 12+ as a CFO in the special education and charter school industry. He has also held senior finance and accounting roles in the Medical Device, Biotechnology, Software and Consulting fields. He provides a wealth of experience managing the areas of Finance, Accounting, Facilities, Fleet, Construction, Human Resources, Information Technology, Risk Management and Food Services. In 2010 he received a Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from Suffolk University. His goal is to leverage his diverse finance experience to provide fiscal stability to the agency so that Brandon can continue to be a leader in this field.
