Annual Northeast Youth Firesetting Conference

Professional self-awareness and self-care, combined with skills and strategies to understand and heal trauma and its negative effects, builds resiliency in kids, ourselves, and our organizations. As professionals working with often traumatized youth involved in firesetting and other risk behaviors, our goal is to heal children and restore families to safety. Yet, we often neglect our own needs.

Carefully crafted workshops at the annual conference will support social service, mental health, fire service, and juvenile justice professionals to address firesetting and traumatic incidents with emphasis on recovery and growth. National experts from several disciplines will demonstrate that, by building resiliency and learning to capitalize on strengths, we reduce recidivism and increase effectiveness as we care for youth and ourselves.
