Brandon Residential Treatment Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behavioral Specialist to support boys and young men in a structured, trauma-informed school and residential setting. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll build meaningful relationships, promote emotional regulation, and help students develop critical life skills for long-term success.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build supportive, developmentally appropriate relationships with students
- Implement behavior plans and interventions aligned with CARE and TCI models
- Provide active supervision and emotional support during daily activities
- Assist with self-care, social skills, and crisis de-escalation
- Collaborate with clinical, educational, and residential staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in ongoing training
- Support students during morning transitions before school
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of one year experience working w/ youth 8-18 years old
- Valid ID and CORI/DCF background check
- Able to participate in physical interventions
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7 AM – 3 PM
Salary:
$20.00 – $22.00/ hour
