The Conference:

Now in its 4th year, The Northeast Juvenile Firesetting Conference has grown into the country's premier collaborative event for professionals working to assess, prevent and treat firesetting behaviors in children. The 2010 event will host 250 fire service, education, mental health, social service, burn care, law enforcement and juvenile justice professionals to learn together how to best serve the children, families and communities affected by juvenile firesetting.

Based on last year’s feedback requesting easily implemented, hands-on tools and strategies to augment firesetting programs and interventions, the 2010 conference theme is "Take-Home Tools & Effective Strategies." Attendees can choose from 10 multi-media workshops focused on providing new and more effective methods for working with children, families & communities.

Experts from across the U.S. & New Zealand will present the following topics & more:

  • Cyberbullying, social media & the Internet
