Educational Department Shift Supervisor

DESCRIPTION
  1. Effectively manage client/activity expenses, facility upkeep, program supplies, and weekly overtime/staff deployment, within the limits of the site budget
  2. Orient new staff and continue to train in-house staff
  3. Evaluate staff on performance, while identifying and addressing their training needs
  4. Support the management of all behavioral aspects of the program to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
  5. Communicate all concerns, issues and recognitions to the Principal, Education Coordinator, and staff in an efficient and timely manner
  6. Communicate effectively and accurately all program needs through the appropriate procedures while also communicating and documenting all necessary client information clearly and concisely using the appropriate systems
  7. Support the development and implementation of individual treatment plans for clients assigned to your site by using clinical and practical knowledge
  8. Follow all established policies and procedures with outside agencies regarding runaways, medical emergencies, physical interventions and all other critical incidents
  9. Foster team building skills by effectively managing conflict resolution
  10. Manage daily routines and schedules
  11. Assist with hiring process and disciplinary issues upon consultation with the Principal and Education Coordinator
  12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's Degree required
  2. Experience in a Residential setting is preferred
  3. Experience in a school setting is preferred
  4. Good communicator and listener with a up tempo, assertive, outgoing and confident personality
  5. Be able to mediate both sides of a situation and base any decision on a neutral understanding of the facts
  6. Supervisory experience is a plus
