Special Education Day School

Brandon's Day School provides a structured learning environment similar to that of a public school but on a much smaller scale. In this supportive and highly structured learning environment, students improve their academic and social skills, develop more appropriate behavioral controls and improve their self-esteem. Most children entering Brandon return to a public school setting.

The school is divided into three clusters: Lower School, Middle School and Upper School. Brandon's curriculum aligns with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and students participate in Statewide Assessments (MCAS testing) in a therapeutic and supportive setting. Education staff work closely with each student's public school to ensure that the Brandon curriculum is similar to what the student will experience upon his return to public school. Each student is also provided intensive case management, as well as individual, group and family psychotherapy.
